Tool Tour Update

Rescheduled dates are starting to roll in for Tool (Ticket Broker | Tool Tickets), which had to postpone its tour after drummer Danny Carey tore a bicep. The trek, which had been set to kick off in mid-March, will now launch April 30 in Reno, NV. So far, 10 US gigs have been rescheduled around the West and South. Details are below.

Tool’s previously scheduled gig at the June 14-17 Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN, should not be affected.

Carey’s accident happened just a week after the prog-rockers announced about 30 tour dates. The drummer had surgery and is said to be healing well. A humorous posting on the band’s website (which should probably be taken with a grain of salt) said Carey’s torn bicep was the result of tangling “with the wrong boxer.” Following the details of the incident, the culprit is shown to be a dog named Amos.

Tool, which recently wrapped a run of dates in Australia and Japan, has been playing all over the world to support its fourth studio release, “10,000 Days,” which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart when it hit the street last March.

The set, which earned the band a Grammy nomination, marked Tool’s return from a three-year hiatus.
